Now I know when I went into my first biology class I was very skeptical about learning the subject. I was born a strict Christian and have read the Bible all my life. When I heard that we were learning about evolution I was totally not going to listen to the subject due to my views. However after learning about the issue and what it really means I am more able to except the facts of science. I believe that creationism exists, and believe God created us as an individual species. I don't think we came from monkeys, because how come they haven't evolved as we have? But I believe in natural selection, this started a heated argument with a friend who is Jehovah Wittiness. She said that we are all individual and we did not adapt from our environment. She believes strongly that we all came from two people, which I disagree. If that were the case, how is it that when Adam and Eve left the Garden of Eden, there were villages already out with people? She also thinks that adapting to your environment is impossible; when I said alright how do explain the different races and ethnic backgrounds she couldn’t answer it.
So tell me am I wrong for how I think or are my view right for adopting ideas of science and religion? Thanks!

We didn't evolve from monkeys. We evolved from the same species as modern monkeys did. Also, even if that wasn't the case, monkeys still exist because we fill a different environmental niche than they do. When it comes to climbing trees, foraging in jungles and escaping from predators, the monkeys kick our asses.
I commend you on what seems to be an ability to question long held beliefs. Keep it up.
