Chickens

Chickens, are nasty animals. Chickens, are nasty to me anyways. The poo in the yard and they flogg you, the roosters do anyways. I do not like them very much at all. But do they deserve to be shoved five or six into tiny little cages? Do they deserve to be thrown around by the neck? Do they deserve to be in such bad living conditions that many of them die from disease and starvation? Do they deserve to be put into scolding water when they are still alive? Do they deserve to be kicked to death? This brings up so many more questions about animals. Do pigs deserve to be beat in the head with hammers? Do cows deserve to be milked literally to death? Do dogs, cats, mice, monkeys, and an arrayment of other animals deserve to be burned, beat in the head, paralyzed, shocked, etc. to make medicine for humans? Do foxes, deer, etc. deserve to be hunted down and shot just for sport? Do bulls deserve to be stabbed in the back a number of times just for entertainment? Do calfs deserve to be dehorned like cutting of the tips of our fingers? Chickens sure do bring up a lot of questions. Is vegan the answer? I do not think so. I tried that for a number of weeks and it just was not for me. I heard someone say one time that the answer was in our govornment. The govornment is the key to stop this major cruelty. But will they listen? I dought it. What if your cat was given a shot that paralyzed it? How heartless do you have to be to work in a lab and stand there and listen to a kitten or a puppy cry, howl, scream for mercy just because the medicine you gave them went screwy? Here is a video link on chickens. I'll spare you the lab videos. Besides, the title is chickens... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ko-TZwFW3So and another one...

If only the government took better care of conditions that animals are kept in. I realize that the FDA must also look after this, but they're obviously not doing a good job.

Wait I do not understand...Why is it the governments responsibility? They do not own the chickens or anything else of that sorts...do they? If we are conscerned we, as Americans, can take matters in and make the food companies abide by laws of animal cruelty, Right?

Love is like a box of chocolates; if you chose wisely you won’t be disappointed and have to spit it out. ~T

The govornment is the only thing that can make these places conform to animals rights...

Because if we let everyone govern themselves without any government intervention, we would have a scary society.

The government isn't making sure these people are abiding by those laws, that's the problem. They let people slip.

I have seen some disturbing pictures and I refuse to look at the youtube videos. I believe the government should do something, but the problem is there are already laws established that deal with the humane treatment of animals. The government won't do anything because they can barely make descisions on anything else as it is, so I doubt it. I understand your frustration though.

They also inject mice with Botox until they die and the companies who have to do this because of the government cannot do anything because the government won't. Many bills have went to the government and only 7 out of I believe 60 something were passed.

Sorry to disappoint you, but I am voting for Lewis Black.

i watched the YouTube videos. They were horrible. I believe that every being should be treated in a humane and ethical way. Although i eat meat i do not condone an animal's ill treatment. Animals should not be slammed against walls or stomped on, nor should they be confined to small barbed cages.
I understand that it is a fact of nature to consume other animals, but we should strive to consider that these animals are being too.
I bellieve if we live in a society in which treating animals cruely is acceptable then we allow others to believe that it just might be okay to slam humans against walls and stomp on their faces too.
Perhaps the government could enforce protection and regulation laws, but what really needs to be done is puiblic and consumer awareness. Poeple are not aware of the cruelity that takes place

respect!!
