I Didn't Register to Vote

This year is the first time that I was old enough to vote. This year, though, I decided not to vote. I believe that both candidates are bad for our country. Though, I believe that Obama would be better than McCain. I didn't even register. I got on the internet because today, in a spur of the moment type thing, I wanted to register just in case I decided to vote. But unfortunatly it was too late. Both the state that I live in, North Carolina, and the state that I go to college in, South Carolina, the dates had already passed. Was I right to make that decision? I know that everyone has the right to vote, or not vote. I exercized that right. I just believe that our country is screwed no matter what my vote says. My vote probably will not change very much in this election anyways. Oh, and did you know that McCain's pick for vice president was a woman? Just kidding. With all the news, interviews, and Tina Fey acts who could not know? But did you also know that she supports the ruthless murder of animals just for human sport? Sarah Palin supported the killing of innocent wolfs in Alaska just so there would be more moose and caribaue for her to shoot dead. I have a thing about hunting, when it is for fur. Humans were apparantly meant to eat animlas or God would not have made the system the way that it is. I just thought that I would get that out there because I probably would have voted for McCain if he had not have made the decision that he did by giving her that position. I just did not register. I just will not vote? Is that selfish? Or is it just human nature to not care because you already think that the country is screwed no matter what.

I strongly disagree with you about this. Unless you also want to agree that God wanted you to get heart disease.

But aside from that, I don't think it's selfish that you chose not to vote--plenty of people make that decision every year. But from a personal prospective, I would have loved to vote (My birthday is in December. x.x). I think this election is so important because of the position the country is in.

If you can be a vegan or vegetarian then I admire you! I just can't do it... not right now anyways!

You can only vote in the state in which you have a driver's license or other state-issued ID, you know.

And there are third party candidates you can vote for. Or you can take embryowassup's suggestion and write-in "Nobody" on your vote. Sorry, I just don't think your reason for not registering is a particularly good one. Though I prefer you didn't register than register and not vote.
