Voter fraud. This just makes me angry. Why would anyone want to mess up the voter system? I mean, I get why. Sure, you really want a candidate to win. I get that. I get being passioante about who you support. I understand. I mean, I have a candidate who I want to win, who I think is the bettter one for the job. I understand those feelings. But why would you cheat to get your candidate in office? That is just wrong! With voter fraud, no candidate fairly gets into office because someone out there has cheated. Our country was not intended to run this way! Everyone has a voice and they have ONE opportunity to cast their vote on Election Day. That is plenty. It throws everything off to have it any other way! I mean, think about other countries where people can't vote at all. We get a chance to vote who we want in the government yet some of us are abusing this priviledge. Why? We take this so much for granted. I heard on the news that college students with absentee ballets are voting more than once. That is awful, y'all! We have such a great priviledge, and this is what we do with it? That really makes me sad.
I also listen on the news to all the solutions that have been thrown out and disregarded. Personally, I think the most obvious solution is a photo ID. I know some people talk about why this doesn't make sense, but I don't see their argument. Pretty much eveyone, whether they drive or not, needs photo ID. I mean, to buy alcohol, to buy tobacco in some places, some stores even need photo ID with credit cards...Nearly everyone needs photo ID. And if they don't have it, it is easy enough to get it. Sure, its a hassle, particularly if someone doesn't drive and needs a ride to the place to get it, or if someone works all the time and doesn't have the time to wait in line and all that. But honestly. Its worth it. Its the most logical answer, to me, to end voter fraud.
