Reform the Electoral College

My common sense plan would be as follows:

The popular vote in a state counts as one electoral vote. The majority vote holds one electoral vote, meaning the citizen’s majority vote for that state is counted as one electoral vote. Then the state will have regional electoral votes. I purpose that the lines need to be redrawn to be non-partisan. Focusing on the rural, suburban and urban areas in the North, South, East and West areas of each state. All Electoral votes must be non-partisan and given to the candidate based on the majority of the votes for that region. Meaning a farmers voice is not speaking for someone in a metro Atlanta. (Most important) Then a state gives the electoral vote to the candidate. Which means one state cannot determine an election. For example FL has 27 electoral votes, with the current system if 14 of those votes go democratic and 13 go republican then the democratic candidate gets all 27 electoral votes. How is that fair, when half of the states voice is ignored? I am of the opinion that the candidate only gets the vote he earns, not the entire state by default. I fixed the spelling errors

How about this, let's just get rid of the electoral college . Why not use the popular vote? What ever happened to majority rule, miniority rights?

I'm in favor of completely getting rid of the electoral college. The electoral college was put in place because it was nearly impossible for the masses to make an informed decision. With mass media today, the vast majority of the people have the ability to gain enough knowledge on any given subject to make an informed choice. The system is outdated.
Living is easy with eyes closed, misunderstanding all you see.

Then huge states like CA, FL, TX would determine who wins the election and other smaller states would lose their voice in how the nation is run. Our founding fathers had it right. It needs some reform to ensure everyone's voice is heard.
