Global Warming: Man-made or Natural?

These days many environmentalists would lead you to believe that the world is going to Hell in a hand basket and we are the reason that this is happening. When the truth is that the world climate is changing and people are freaking about it. I believe that 'global warming' is the result of a natural climate change that happens on the earth every few thousand or million years.
Now let me explain my grounds for this belief before you guys completely tear me apart. First, I believe this because of historical examples. The Ice Age is a great example of this; there have been many ice ages and periods of warm that have occurred globally since the beginning of time. It is also evident in fossils that have been found of tropical plants and species found in places like Canada or the Sahara. So it is obvious that climate change is nothing new to the earth. However, this time I believe that we could be helping it along. Because in those previous climate changes there was not a giant hole in the ozone layer and because even though there was carbon dioxide being released into the atmosphere due to the decomposing carcasses of dead animals there wasn't as much as there is now because of our consumption of fossil fuels. So I would say that the process of global warming is natural but that we are kind of helping it along maybe progressing it faster than it would naturally happen. I say this because it is scientifically provable that the CO2 we are releasing is having some kind of effect on the climate, but it is also historically provable that this is a natural process.

Sure it could be natural, but at the alarming rate the Earth's surface is heating. nothing is natural about it. The earth's surface temperature has already risen one degree fahrenheit in less than 50 years. A substantial rise in temperature like that would naturally take about hundreds if not thousands of years. There is definite reasons to be concerned like flooding, hurricanes, and climate changes that could deminish entire populations. Entire ecosystems could be riped out. Wars would began over resources.
Not to menton the erosion of the o-zone layer will to do to our health.

we should all be concerned about Global Warming even if it is natural ( but it is not) because it would disrupt our way of life.

I wasn't advocating that global warming was completely a natural process that none of us should be worried about. I was saying that climate change (i.e. global warming) is a natural process that we have been helping along because of our consumption of fossil fuels. I agree that we must do something and we should be worried about it but I was just clarifying that no one can stop a natural process. Because the climate is going to change regardless but because of our habits it happens to be changing at a more drastic and alarming rate then it normally would.

"I was saying that climate change (i.e. global warming) is a natural process that we have been helping along because of our consumption of fossil fuels. " I was trying to say that we are not doing any help for our enviroment by depleting resources without thought and eroding our ozone layer. i think helping is the wrong word.

I get it. Helping is the wrong word. Maybe speeding up or coaxing along? But I get what your saying now.

Global warming is a myth that became a trend after Al Gore's famous "non-fiction" movie. Have you seen the stats? Most of the scenes in the movie come from famous block busters.

It is obvious that the climate is changing for the warmer. All you have to do to see that, is watch the news and see how the forecast temperatures on average have been increasing with each passing year. And if you don't believe that do some research yourself on past global temperatures and the difference between those and the one we now live in. To claim that the fact that the global temperature is rising is a myth is very naive indeed.

Its the Inconvenient Truth, not a lie. Have you seen the stats?
