Just a short blog, with hopes to spark reflection in some readers. Bush is entering his last 100 days in office. His last chance to get it right. And while I have my opinions - who doesn't- I am not going to talk about them. Instead, I am going to question my opinions and probably make you reconsider yours too.
Almost every American, young and old, black and white, whatever, has a negative attitude towards out president. He has undoubtedly made some fallacies in his governing of our country. And it seems as if no one wants to let him forget it. But honestly, he has had some tough decisions to make - homeland security, the environment, economical crisis, plus so many others. We have never been president - have never had to make decisions that affect the well-being of people in America and around the globe. We have never had the weight of the world resting on our shoulders. So, although we are more than entitled to our opinions, who are we to judge? We are not....that is just it. Until we are faced with the same obstacles Bush was faced with (and we never will be, by the way) we will be unable to know the motives behind his choices. So this is the end - the end of an administration, of eight rather tumultuous years. But whatever your opinion, you gotta hand it to him - even though he faced massive amounts of torture-like criticism, he stayed strong...something I know that I myself would not be able to do.
