Why not vote for Obama!?

There is no reason that Barack Obama should not win the 2008 presidential election for the simple fact that we already know what is going to happen if McCain wins. We have already seen those policies in action for the past eight years. One must look at it this way. John McCain is running on the Republican ticket. The Republicans have been running the country for the past eight years and have: gotten us into a seemingly endless war, accumulated the largest national debt ever seen, plunged the economy into a recession through the policy of deregulation, and are now looking into continuing the war into Iran. Now let's look at what John McCain's ticket calls for: deregulation, tax cuts, repeal of Roe v. Wade, continuation of the Iraq War without a deadline, preemptive strikes, and no negotiations with leaders he deems unworthy (leader of Iran). What is the difference in his campaign than what has happened in the last eight years. How does this plan call for the 'change' he has been so recently advocating? Also you must look at one last factor, what is the incentive for the Republican party to change its platform. The GOP believes that its platform and policies are working so in their view it is a matter of--why fix something that isn't broken? Also, McCain has been a Senator for 30 years, if he really believed in change then why hasn't he done anything to make change in the past 30 years!?
So the only real alternative is to vote for Barack Obama. Obama has only been a Senator for 3 years and in those 3 years he has voted more controversially and taken more steps toward change then McCain has in 30 years. He looks at problems in a logical manner--let's see both sides of the argument and then make a decision manner--instead of rushing in guns ablaze and then trying to figure out what to do. And the most important is that he has a definite plan of ending the War in Iraq within the first year and a half of his presidency. McCain says that this would be ending without Victory but fails to see that in modern warfare no one wins a war. If you believe a war can be won in modern warfare, then answer me this question. If both sides walk away from a war with hundreds of thousands of people dead, who won? So it is time make a decision. Do want to relieve the past 8 years or do want to vote for some hope that you will make it through the next 4 years?

Aside from the part where writing in all caps is equivalent to shouting (which is completely unnecessary), it's difficult to read blocks of capital letters because there is no variety with the height and width of letters--something most people need to be able to easily decipher and comprehend words.

If there are certain words that you would like to emphasize, html tags to will allow you to make something in <b>bold</b> or <i>italics</i>. Again, though, these tags are for emphasis. Putting emphasis on an entire comment kind of negates whatever you wanted to emphasize in the first place.

You'll get more people listening to what you have to say when they don't have to strain their eyes to see it. :-)
