communism?

In my Economy class we were discussing the bail out bill, this was before it was passed. When she asked us what form of government that bill would make us, for a minute every person in the class looked at her llike she was stupid. then I raised my hand and said Communism. On paper and in theory Communism and socialism look good. In practice however it will never happen. It hasn't worked in china, it hasn't worked in Korea, it hasn't worked in Cuba. Have we not learned from these countries from the wars that we have fought to free other countries from communism. communism does not work!!!! We need to stop trying to fix everything by just throwing money at it. That does not fix anything all it has been doing is making things worse. It makes me sad to see that all the soldiers who have died fighting communism died in vain. Just stop being so idiotic, money is not the answer, we were not even bailing out American owned businesses. China already pretty much owns us we do not need to give them more pretty soon they are going to just take over. Our national debt ticker has run out of places. What is our government thinking?

I am taking a class now on Karl Marx, and his writings are very interesting. If the bailout plan actually did what they say it will do, then this bill would be a form of communism. However in his critique of capitalism, Capital, Marx states that the fundamental problem with capitalism is that no one ever makes enough money. One reason for this is the idea of socialized expense, and private gain. Unfortunately, this bailout plan wasn't designed to help the millions of people everyday that are struggling to make ends meet to be able to pay off their mortgage bills. Those people are still working hard just to get by. The reason these big mortgage companies all crashed is because they gave out huge high risk mortgages on over-priced houses to people that had money. But when the economy started doing poorly, these upper-middle class home owners stepped out and caused all these companies to crash. So now the U.S. government has actually purchased all the homes of these high risk mortgages, and are helping these well off people pay back their mortgage at a much mort manageable rate. However the lower-middle class people that took out reasonable (but still tough) mortgages are struggling to get by. If the bailout distributed the help equally amongst all home ownders, than this would be an example of communism in America. However, in practice, it is more of an example of capitalism, where America takes on another 80 billion dollars in debt (socialized expense) to help out the people that neeed it the least (private profit).
