I wake up in the morning to see the Vice-President candidates going head-to-head on a political debate. My eyes are squinting, and my head is groggy. I can only think, "Oh no, here we go again.." I look at Senator Biden, then I look at Governor Palin. I notice two major differences, Palin is bright, young, and innovative; while Biden, well looks like an old croon.
I've been in classroom debates before, I know the rules. Stick with your argument, no matter what is being thrown out at you and find a crack in their argument to show their faults.
Later on in the day, I pulled up a clip of Senator Biden and Governor Palin's debate again, this time, on mute. I analyzed their body language; that goofy grin of Palins, that side way glance from Biden. The debate looked like I was watching two children play laser tag, with mirrors on their suits. They are not answering their questions, and they are not living up to their potential. Personally, I do not believe that either of the VP candidates won that debate because of their flaws.
Now, this is Senator Bidens' mistake in the debate, he did not take Palin seriously. Anyone can see that. He has been in political debates before, has much more experience in Washington, and to top it off, he has a son (who days later) was deployed overseas. However, if I was the moderator of that debate, I would not look at how he was treating his opponent. As the moderator I would have to think, "He is a professional. He has debated before. He has won debates many times over; if he is going to go easy on her, that is his fault." I, for one, would have "ripped her to shreds" in that debate. When I examined his reactions to Governor Palins remarks, I caught how she was using the audience as her moderator, not the moderator herself.
Governor Palin has a pretty face, and a down-to-Earth personality. Obviously, she has the attention of the crowd. She is free of "Washington" and the first Republican Vice President Candidate in U.S. History. However, she should not have brought her personality into the debate, she should have answered the questions. Every question that the moderator had asked, she answered, but only gave her pieces information that was on a list of notes she had in front of her. My dear countrymen, and women, she should have expected the unexpected, and should have been prepared.
Aside from these light faults, I will get to their accomplishments.
Senator Biden had maintained his politeness to Governor Palin throughout the debate. This act of piety is great to Obama supporters because of the fact that he did not react rudely to the Governors inexperience in the "Washington" setting.
Governor Palin, she had an amazing way of not answering the question, but always bringing the subject back to points; such as alternative ways of energy, the war in Iraq, etc... Due to Governor Palin's strategy in the VP debate, in the eyes of the public, she had won the debate. To me, they both failed to meet my criteria as VP for the White House.
I honestly can say that this election for Presidency is picking the "lesser of two evils". Neither of these VP candidates have shown their true potential through the debates they are trying to win, but instead are trying to act like it is not a big deal. When, to you and I, these debates, should be, extremely important.
You, as a citizen of the U.S. should watch, and examine this debate, and the future ones. After watching it on the television set, watch it on youtube; full-length versionl. Maybe in the next VP debate, I will finally have a something interesting to watch on the TV, when I first wake up in the morning. Until then, I will stay tuned on youtube.com .

Those are interesting remarks. I watched the vice-presidential debate when it aired on television, and I believe that Palin on the debate. She talked straight to the people who were listening to the debate, and seems like a more real person. She has a son who has already been depolyed to serve overseas, a pregnant teenage daughter who has decided to keep the baby, an elementary age child, and a baby with special needs. You honeslty cannot ask for someone with a more varied life and experiences. Most of her closest friends do not agree with all of her politics, but that proves that she is someone who is not afraid to be around people with whom she does not agree. I believe that if McCain is elected and Palin becomes the vice-president, she will be one of the best in history.
I was not referring to who I thought was best to be in the White House. I was referring to the style in which the VP candidates were debating. As far as who I think should win the election, I will send a separate message with my opinion.
