Show Me the Money!!!

The economic failure of the US will affect students and parents a lot more than it is now. Banks are closing down, business going bankrupt, as well as people, prices for everything has increased and wages have hit a plateau. Well, guess what? Paying for a college education isn’t going to get any better and I’m pretty sure that’s going to affect everyone reading this, or at least those who care.

Credit requirements have gotten stricter since the recent plunge of the market and I know the news reports have only included the mortgage crisis, energy and healthcare as the hardest hit sectors. But does that exclude college funding? I think not. Think of this, that 841 Billion USD check that the government is writing you don’t think federal college loans and grants are going to get cut back. Many analysts have already predicted that private universities, community colleges and vocational/technical schools will be hit hardest by government funding cut backs. That’s the backbone of America right there, the future everyday people like plumbers, electricians and administrative assistants who will not be able to receive their training because they will not be able to cover the expenses of the additional education that will advance their lives.

I know about you guys but I would like to continue my educational plan and I don’t know how I will do it if the government decides to cut me off! I do like the idea that Senator Clinton came up with, and I believe Senator Obama will pick it up too, that was almost like a GI bill but it grants students free education with a commitment to serve as a civil servant of some capacity. I would sign up for something like that and instead of working my way up to manager maybe I could work my way up to President of the United States.
