Color is one of the main issues in this presidential election, and it is sad, this is the twenty-first centruy. Why can't we all unite and make a change as a whole? When are people going to learn to change, so others can have an equal oppertunity also.
By this change it can change the United States as a whole. Many minorities can stop the hatred and not say, "I'm not working for the white man." They can see a positive change as a person for their community and as an individual. I am a minority myself and growing up in the neighborhhods I have, has not stopped from pursuing my education. But many people do let things stop them.
This election can lead to a better future for youths because many people think they cannot make it in a "white man's world." Using words as so is not right. This is how most people are brought up to think by their ansestors, who have been part of organizations such as the "Black Panthers." Now I hear people saying, "I can't beleive it their is oppertunity for me out there." It has always been like that. Many educational institutions do not teach children that their are people of color high in congress. Why is that? I have attended poor schools and they barely taught me anything. Now that I am in a fine educational institution I see a different world of oppertunity. Color is not an issue at all.
Please tell me your view on the issue!!

I think that you are absolutely right on the fact that color should never be an issue. It is unfortunate that you grew up an area that didnt teach about minorities holding high political offices. That sort of teaching doesnt inspire others to persue larger opportunities. It goes along with the labeling theory, which is if you continually label a being as unfitt to hold and obtain prestigious positions in society then the being will most certainly not persue higher levels of profession.
i hope for the next election that people will not even bring up the color, gender, and ethnic issues, but that is a far stretch.
Thanks for having an insight. Not many people see this at times. Many of my past "friends" have gone down the wrong road due to lack of education in certain areas. By having someone just run in political office of a different ethnicity it shows others I can make a change. It is a warm welcoming hearing more minorities speak about this presidential election. I was very young during the last presidential election. I still spoke about it though and peole just used to say so what it's a white mans world. I dont think this world at all should be like that.
