Crime: Estrogen Injections

With the influx of inmates and constant crowding in contemporary penitentiary systems, is America really doing enough to decrease crime rates in our metropolitans? I believe the American populace needs to take a greater more aggressive stance on crime.

One statistic that is interesting is the overall jail population is made up of 98% male. Why is the jail population composed of 98% male inmates? I think it has to do with the sex hormone testosterone. Testosterone is what makes a man naturally more aggressive than females, and it’s the hormone that gives males sex drive. Maybe Troy was really fought over a woman.
Even during the embryonic stages the male embryo is marinated with testosterone that affects that brain greatly on verbal skills and interaction with others. A baby girl looks at facial expression 200% more than a baby boy would on an average day. A baby girl would have a vocabulary at least 2 times larger than a baby’s boy by the age of one. A baby girl is more likely to play with other baby girls in a compromised manner.

With these facts I wonder what would happen if we injected estrogen hormones into overly aggressive male inmates in jails. The injection wouldn’t be high enough in content for the subject to experience any physical change, but perhaps it would decrease aggressiveness in the subject. Perhaps estrogen injections would overall benefit the community and decrease crime rates, and be a solution for over crowding.
