With the debate just finished, let me give a few points of comments from what I saw from the debate.
I liked how both candidates gave out what they were actually going to do and how they were going to solve crisis happening in our country these days ( especially the economic bailouts).
Obama continued to make good points aginst the war on terror. We "liberated" Iraq and they have a 79 billion dollar surplus. Thats all and good if you like that perspective but they have they surplus and were in a huge amount of debt
The actual style of the debate I thought was akward. The town hall style really did not seem like town hall as the questions were rehearsed and nothing spontanoues off of what the candidates said could have been asked. In addition no real follow ups were allowed until the end just allowing none senseless bashing of both candidates. If I wanted to listen to that I could have SNL on my tv not the debate.
The poise and structure of Obama really struck me. While I knew he was a good orater of speech, his mannerisims moved me and just coolness in the situation and with the crowd seemed like he was talking to me rather then at me.
Maybe both candidates should get tips from their vice presidents on how to draw in more viewers for the debate. The VP debate was something out of a comedy rotuine ( say it ain't so Joe), and this needed more umphh to lighten up the oldness and John McCain.
Any responses?

The town hall style is a good debate forum if done right. I disliked the fact that there was no hard hitting questions. I prefer the Rick Warner discussion more. Also the VP debate was great but many people felt that it had to many jokes and not enough substance. I hope that the next debate goes better and ask the hard questions. I also would like the media to stop supporting Obama and force him to answer questions, but that is as likely as me finding the goose that lays the golden egg.
