Every year the rainforest gets cleared of two thousand miles each year. This is a horrible fate of the most important eco system of our planet. Many birds, plants, bugs, and mammals call the rainforest home. The idea that the natives make more money by cutting down the trees is absurd. If natives cut down the trees for a logging company they will receive $60 and $400 for cattle rising on the deforested land. If the native keeps the trees, he will receive $2,400 from the medicinal companies for plants that thrive in the rainforest. The rainforest hold the key in also 1/3 of all trees in the world. This would cause great loss if we lose this valuable resource, carbon admissions will increase if you cut down the trees in the Amazon rainforest.
According to the government of Brazil, the Amazon rainforest will have lost 25% of its original area in 2010. This will affect the climate due to the creeping problem of global warming and greenhouse gases. It is important to try and keep the carbon dioxide level down stopping the water levels of the oceans to rise tremendously. This will create even more problems, more tropical storms will be created and even more hurricanes. These devastate areas all over the world with poverty and devastation for years after the storm died. Other affects if the trees are destroyed from the Amazon rainforest is soil erosion, since most trees hold the soil intact in their roots, if all the trees are destroyed, the Amazon River will start to carry the soil into the ocean, destroying most of Brazil.
The Amazon can save or destory the world, you decide!

Overpopulation. maybe this is the reason why natives continue to cut down tropical rainforests. However, with the depletion of the rainforest it will lead to polluted water sources, poor crops, and a decrease in game for the natives. It is an unfortunate problem for undeveloped nations.
