Do you really think that i will be able to recieve social security?

I dont understand why i should be forced to give up money from my hard earned paycheck when i will never recieve anything from the institution that is taking taxes from me. How come i dont have a choice? How come i cant say "i promise to never recieve social security" and be able to do what i want with my money? Social security is running low. That is a fact. Will it run out? that is not known but i personally would rather take the money usually given to social security and put it in a 401k so that when i do want to retire i have been saving since i started working at McDonalds at sixteen. Unless the government can promise me a substancial amount of money when i finally decide to recieve social security i would rather secure my own future, or at least have the choice.
Furthermore the higher the taxes the less money people have to spend! If we want to improve the economy tax breaks should be given to ALL! When regular citizens are given tax breaks they invest or spend the money (both helpful) and when businesses are given tax breaks they lower prices or expand creating new jobs (again both helpful).
