High school stress (teen stress)

Teen stress can mean tons of different kinds of stress especially when your in high school. A lot of teens go threw basically every kind of stress while experiencing high school life. I'm a senior in high school and I can tell you some pretty nasty stories, I have been stressed out a lot since I started my freshman year. I can relate to you when a lot of you talk about sex stress. You think that when you get a great boyfriend or girlfriend that everything is going to be swell they'll understand when you tell them your not ready or that you want to wait, then sooner or later they leave you for someone that will give in to them, or even better they tell you that they "love" you just so they can get it from you. And then end up leaving you. @.@
If your not in that situation then there is what i go through mostly everyday which is basically drama. He said she said nonsense. There is always something going on in the school break ups and hook ups and fights between friends and then everyone looks to me to choose sides or for advice, it becomes a major headache. But what I think is the worst kind of stress for a teen(to me) is your senior year and trying to get into the perfect college and its like running around like a chicken who lost its head. People tell me that life just gets more and more stressful as you move on into life. See I will give you girls a little secret (i dont know about you guys) but if i find out a guy likes me or that they want something from me i keep them wrapped around my finger because when they know they cant have you it makes them want you even more.

Being a senior as well, I have also experienced many of the stresses of high school. Last year ans this year have been the worst with SATs and applying for colleges.
This whole admissions process s ridiculous. Why can't it be less complicated to get into college?

I really wish I could relate to you, but senior year was different for me. My mother was ill and had to be taken care of. I worked full time and went to school as well. I watched her pass away in the hospital 2 months after I graduated. I guess I mean the things you are talking about never really mattered to me...while the other things were going on.

Yes getting into college and finding one is very stressful, but hopefully you have parents who love you and care about you, who can help you get into the college you desire. I had no help financially, emotionally, or physically and went into college all by myself.

As for stress it is a part of life of course and yes people are right when they say it gets worse as you get older, mine is at the breaking point.

I am normally very sympathedic to everyone, but in this case I can't be because your stress doesn't seem very stressful. I know I sound like a bitch and I am sorry for that because I really am not trying to be.

Sorry to disappoint you, but I am voting for Lewis Black.

there's some stress associated with being in high school, but as you get older, you'll hopefully realize that the stress you had was not really that stressful. if you think you have a lot of stress in america, try living in korea and being a student. my students go to school from 8-4, then going to a special academy for four or five hours to improve their english or math skill, then maybe go to another one after that. when school is finally over at 10 or 12 at night, they go home to do their homework from regular school so they don't get beat the next day by their parents or teachers, and then they go ahead and do their homework for their special acadamies...and then go to sleep at 2am or later, get up the next day, and do it all over again. all of this to compete in the global market and to avoid failure...it's a way of life here. for you to get into college is about 40 million times easier than for these kids.

i have some advice for you..if it stresses you out...stop doing it! i used to run to my mom with all my problems and she listened and gave advice, and one day she said, "i don't have time for this. i'm too old and i can't handle your problems; you need to figure them out on your own." that's exactly what i did, and it sounds like you need to tell your friends to do the same. do what's best for you...your life is more important.
