Are our children not valued anymore? Why hurt the innocent?

Of late there has been no remorse for our young children, as they are been brutalized like animals by the heartless criminals, from been raped, to stabbed and killed. Recently I heard about a 11 year old girl who went missing for a week and instead of after a week missing they found her alive, she was dead. Dead like an animal , naked and headless. I thought to myself, why, why, why did they kill this innocent child, for what reason I don't know and cannot answer. But can only speculate that there are some crazy people in the world today. A week after that heart wrenched news, it was broadcasted on the local news that a 11 year old boy was stabbed to death for a cellular phone, can you believe a cellular phone? A material value, a life wiped out just for a cellular phone. Acts as such just depicts how sick our world has become. There is no more care and love for our children. Our society has grown so violate that I worry night and day. And I can only pray constantly for the Lord to protect us all especially the children, our next generation.
