700 Billion

Let's be serious about this. Things are bad. They aren't over.

They need to improve, yes . . .

So, what does our government do to insure that the penny whoring mongrels of Wall Street no longer incite damage upon Main Street? Like complete fools they debate giving them 700 Billion Dollars. Seriously?!?! And do we know how they arose to this fabulous amount of money? "They picked a rather large sum of money." That's right folks. They didn't even bother to do a legitimate calculation on the state of the economy, instead, they're just going to give away 'a large sum.'

I think a few things about this.

1). A large sum to me is like...a million. What does it say about our government officials that a large sum to them is almost a trillion dollars? I mean, perhaps they're being paid a bit too much.

2). Are you kidding me?

3). No, seriously, you must be joking.

I used to work in DC, and let me tell you those oversight committee hearings are the biggest dissappointment known to man. They're spending 2,000 a month per humvee out in Pakistan to maintain the vehicle. I don't know what kind of vehicle they're driving but what type of humvee requires two grand to maintain it. Not even an import requires that much upkeep.
But this begs a deeper and much more pertinent question. What exactly our we allowing our government to do? What is it that we allow them to get away with. Sure, we like to pretend that they're over there by the Potomac and we're out here in America and have no control over what 'they' do. But that's wrong.

We have a government of the people. It's time that we stood up and said, "No more, Yawp!!!"
