While watching the vice presidential debates last night it occured to me that I had, unitl this point ignored the VPs but as is stated in our constitution if the president of the United States should for some reason not be able to perform his (I say his because the two candidates this year are men. Not because I believe it will always be this way) duties. SO VPs are about as important as the President in that way. So I looked at Palin and I thought to myself, "If ever need be would she be an effective president or did Mccain choose her because she has a vagina?" The answer was I don't think she would not be ready as far as I'm concerned she does not have enough experience. Yes I do know as far as things go neither does Obama but at least his experience was close to where all the action is getting done. She admitted as much last night when she said she'd only been doing this for five weeks. I feel like John Mccain has underestimated the women voters. I will not dispute the many things she has done for her state but this is not A state we are talking about head of THESE UNITED STATES. Which makes me wonder if she is really ready.
However something that annoys me more than her lack of experience as to way the world works, because she did not sound intelligent when she was talking about world affairs, is her attitude towards the War. I am proud of the soldiers fighting over there and am saddened every time a mother losses a child and the world losses someone who could v'e done so many things in this world. But I do not feel like this is a war AMERICA needs to win. Its a war THE MIDDLE EASTERN COUNTRIES need to win for themselves MAYBE with some help from us. Its like the parent fighting the bully for the child. As soon as that kid hits the play ground with out mommy and daddy around there's another bully prepared to pick on them again. Are we going back to the days when we have colonies. Are we going to be able to protect them later if something else happens. And for us to be spending money like this on a war that seems to have no end couldn't we be using that money instead to make sure that our entire economy dosen't fail and sends our asses back to the stone age. Another thing Sarah Palin I respect you as a wife, mother, and governor but not as a leader of my country and stop fucking telling me what I want as an american because when you try to dumb it down for me it makes you look like an idiot. Thank you America.
