Hello. as my first blog(hopefully of many) i feel the need to introduce myself. well my name is catherine. please don't hunt me down and kill me, but i am from wyoming. I am assuming that from many of the following blog posts that you will discover my politicial ideals for yourself. So why am i blogging? well other than the possibility of recieving a scholorship so that i can continue college, i enjoy politics. I enjoy having the idea that i am living in a land where my ideals are protected, I have a multitude of freedoms, and that i might actually have a say in what might happen in my government.
Now on to the issues at hand...So what do you think of this whole bail out thing? well I think it is amazing. I am amazed that we can get ourselvs into this big of a perdiciment... that once our economy starts failing, the people of our wonderful land give up. How in one day, the dow Jones can drom over 750 points. this doesn't come from our government not having a good plan on how to boost the economy, this comes from the people not believing that out governemtn has a plan. So the bail out plan was rejected... that just means that we will not settle for something that is inadaquate. We will not settle for half of an answer. But the misinterpretation of the house's responce caused a massive failure in the stocks. College students lost years of tuition, retieries lost years away from work, and everyone lost confidence. Therefore the house was forced to pull together something overnight. Is is good? i don;'t know... i have no clue if it will be a good fix, or if we are just trying to elmers glue our dollar bill back together. But really everyone... dont worry. we will not go into a depression... that is why the banks have backed up money. We have insured that another depression will not come about. and despite how confused our representatives may seem, they know what they are doing. so let's just trust them, buy some stocks, and wait for them to go back up so we all can become ritch again...
