The way one looks at the world could be an altered state, one’s own perception (of course) or it could really be how it appears. I cannot help to look so grim to my own future, or at least shake my head at how the world is evolving. We depend on others for the things we need and it can only get worse. We have all of this technology yet there is still the same amount of unhappiness (maybe more) and now people are getting lazier. A flameless candle is a great invention, but can’t we just get up off our asses and blow the damn thing out? It also seems like time itself is getting shorter. So we feel the need to hurry and do everything with our “quick fix” gadgets.
As I was at the grocery store I could not help, but notice that every food and non food item is about 2 dollars, this is on sale. It used to be easy to find things for a dollar fifty or even under that. You might as well count that wishful thinking out now. Everything is almost a steady 3 unless you have to eat the brand that is made out of plastic and all the leftovers…I think you can grasp what I am talking about. The lowest brand that is distributed, even lower than store brand. I myself buy store brand products and some even taste better and have less fat than name brand products, and they are cheaper. As much as I would prefer to buy “name” brand I will not pay 5 dollars plus for a gallon of Dean brand milk.
To be blunt everything goes from great to good to shit to good then back to great. A lot of things work in this way because everything can’t be great all the time, and everything can’t be bad all the time either. Of course some things are bad most the time, but they can seem not so bad at times which makes them feel better. Confusing I know, and confusing is the way my mind works.
I often wonder are we programmed to believe everything we hear or can we really think for ourselves? Many people believe they can think for themselves, but does this hold true? On CNN they stated that this is the “worst financial crisis we have had since the 1930’s.” I believe this could hold true, but we are under different circumstances. It is hard to tell, considering McCain believes the economy is strong, and that not all people believe we are even in a recession. (well now 33 percent of people believe we are in a depression) I know one thing this economy is screwed because of Bush. If you don’t think so look at how we were doing before he went into office. Wars have never helped the economy either, so I guess I must not put the full blame on Bush.
Bush I believe understands he has hit the mother load of screw ups. He made a speech about the banks. It was only 2 minutes long and all he pretty much stated was that the situation was under control. He then stepped off the podium and almost ran back to the door of where ever he was staying. He is a very busy man, but not that busy. I talk to many people who tell me that they just don’t want to hear about any news, or “don’t look at the stocks.” If we were about to be nuked I believe you would want to hear about it!
Should we trust everything we hear? I believe we should not. I also have come to believe we should not believe anything we hear unless there is unbiased evidence to back up a claim. Really though can one actually find unbiased information? The economy is pretty screwed right now, but who can we really trust to fix this problem?
I prefer to have a point to my blogs, but I guess I just feeling like complaining for once.

All it takes is one person to start a chain reaction for change. Thats how revolutions and non-profit orginizations and even entire companies and corporations begin. By a few concerned citizens with the drive and the passion, but most of all the actions to make a difference. They did not rely on word of mouth type of nonsense, but rather went straight to credible sources. We must all adapt and create our own personal filters.
To answer that last question of who should "we" trust to fix the economic issues/crisis we have been facing, the answer is ourselves.
Every day you work hard, only some days you work harder.

Uhh... yes they have. WWII is what helped us get out of the Great Depression. Sure, it wasn't too good on Germany's economy, but it helped a lot of other countries out. New jobs had to be created in order to provide supplies for the war, and women filled the slots left behind by the soldiers that left.
