Ok so here's the deal, A while ago the federal government mandated that Con Edison can no longer be a conglomerate of the Electricity Supply, which means that they can no longer control and dominate where ,how and who we purchase our electricity from, meaning that now we as consumers now have a choice to choose another electric supply company other than Con Ed.
