I am currently a student at Lyon College working on my Bachelor's in Art with a minor in Anthropology. Afterward, I hope to go on to graduate school to major in Archaeology.
I'm rather liberally minded and am adamantly pro-choice and pro-gay rights... I'm a very spiritual person, and I suppose the closest religious label that suits me is Pagan, but that's more of an umbrella term as I don't follow any specific branch of Paganism. I believe that all religious paths have their merit and whatever gets you closer to your deity and makes you feel more complete and centered is great. Just don't push your beliefs on me and we'll be fine :)... On the other hand, I find a great deal of value in science and will trust it before an ancient manuscript.
I love art, literature, film and music. Some of my favorite bands include: Marilyn Manson, Placebo, Tori Amos, The Dresden Dolls, Amanda Palmer, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, Nine Inch Nails, Rasputina, Bjork, John Lennon, Concrete Blonde, AFI, Regina Spektor, Bright Eyes, Death Cab for Cutie, The Decemberists, The Cure, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Depeche Mode, Lady Gaga, Lily Allen, Bat for Lashes and the occasional bit of Beyonce or Jason Mraz. I like a variety in music and as long as I can find something of merit or inspiring about a band/singer/artist I can enjoy them :).
