Gangs to Genocide: Anti-Violence Conference

Tagged:

Students at the College of San Mateo
knew that violence was a serious problem. Everywhere they looked there
was violence -- on the streets, on TV, in newspapers, in video games.
But unlike most passive observers, they wanted to do something to
prevent violence. They spent several months organizing the
Anti-Violence Conference, which was held on April 16, 2005.

Postings
in this section will highlight the results of the event, and provide a
platform for continuing the work that they started. Anyone interested
in preventing violence is welcome to contribute
their own observations and ideas.

And if you practice with a license and it's not approved practice, it's ALSO illegal and you could loose your license plus other state and federal sanctions.  Read More »

Genocide

It's a powerful word.
Used SO carefully by American politicians.
Cause God forbid they use it to describe the annihilation of 1,500,000 Armenians in Turkey at the beginning of the 20th century.
And God forbid they do anything about what's going on elsewhere!  Read More »

I thought maybe since I this is my first blog to start out with something nice and sweet, but my life has been the farthest thing from it lately. A couple years this great movie Mean Girls came out and it was a hit. It was a hit with teens across America because it represented true high school life. It showed that even the bitchiest girl could beQueen Bee if she was hot and rich.  Read More »

GANGS WORLD: How to stay alive?

Tagged:  •

Im only 22 years old and can see how todays' children and teens have change since I was teen. Perfect example, when I was in high school my school was considered as one of the best schools in the area, but just after I graduated everything change. An everyday life at high school was just plain joking, showing school pride, and trying to out do the next person in academics.  Read More »
