The life you live...is it right?

Tagged:

I am a Christian and have been for my whole life. When I was nine years old I became a born again Christian. Ever since that day, my life has never been the same. My eyes became open to what the world really is. This world was handed over to the devil a long time ago therefore mostly everything in it could turn a person away from God. <!--break-->That does not mean that it’s impossible to live the way Jesus wants us to live but it does make it hard! In the Bible it says being a believer is not easy at all! Now I know what they meant when they said that. A pastor once told me that as soon as you become a believer the devil will be on you all the time to try to make you fall away further from the glory of God. That is so true! Christians are not perfect. We are just like everyone else, BUT the difference is that there are people who don’t care about how they live their lives and just go along with what the world gives them (remember the connection between the world and the devil) then there is the person who does care about how they live their life and notices what the world really is and tries to be different, tries to be good. A lot of people think that if you’re a Christian you’re not cool and you’re life is boring and stuff. That perception is very wrong. They say that because of true believers don’t get drunk, party all the time, have premarital sex, steal, curse, lie, and any other thing that , in your heart, you know is wrong. The world is a dirty place, but in some places you can really see that God is at work (like the rain forest or the beautiful sunset….). The life of a Christian is a good one, even with all the temptation and stuff that God will help you through, especially in the long run! Just think about after death.  Read More »

Pull-oo-shun...Pollution!

Tagged:

Everyone hates it, but we all take part in it. From the air to our land to the rivers, lakes, and oceans, we're taking place in destroying it. Not that we want to. There has been a continuous change in our atmosphere and air pollution is one reason. Because of air pollution scientists believe it will not only destroy our ozone layer, but it will also affect human health, which will affect our lungs and our respiratory systems. Not only is our air polluted, but our land and water isn't as clean as it use to be. We're destroying our land with domestic waste. We, not all, but most people are not paying attention to how big a deal it is to throw an empty can of soda or an empty bag of chips and how much damage can be done with it. The filth that gets into our water affects the organisms under the sea. That includes the crab, fishes, lobsters, and shrimp we enjoy eating. There are so many things that people do to destroy our Earth and not even know it. I'm not saying i don;t pollute, but I am trying hard not to take part in it. As love as the world looks today, it might not be in a few years if we don't do anything about pollution. We can start off by using our recycling bins for once. Reduce,Re-use, Recycle. It doesn't hurt to recycle. It will reduce the amount of land pollution. We can also try hard not to litter. It really is as simple as that. It isn't hard at all to throw your thrash away in a garbage can. If there isn't one around, I'm sure you'll be able to wait until you come across one to throw your trash away. It would be nice having a lot more garbage cans around, in school, at work, anywhere. Carpooling is another way to reduce pollution. It has its benefits. You don't only just save money on gas, but the carpool lane seems to go a bit faster than the other lanes. Those are the several things I can think of and can personally do to improve our air, water and, land, but it doesn't mean that is all I can do.

Crazy Drivers

Tagged:  •    •

It is very dissapointing how many drivers take advantage of the privalege of their driver's license. There is way to many crazy drivers out there. And specially now that it is rainy and with the holidays people should be more careful. It makes me not want to drive but i'm force to because of my obbligations to school and work. I wish i could have all the known facts about driving reckless. Some facts, however, is that people risk their lives and others by driving like a maniac. Also you could get in trouble with the law. And believe it or not it ruins your car. You waste ten cents a gallon when you don't go by the speed limit. Well those are just some facts that I know from the top of my head. I just wanted to let everyone out there  know that by driving more safe it makes this world a better one because it's bad enough we pollute it by driving our cars around. So PLEASE the next time you get involve in a nasty car to car situation just DO THE RIGHT THING because it is not worth it. And for those that are always late, speeding there is just going to make you seconds earlier.

Good don't you love christmas.... yea but no. cuz christmas morning might be the best feeling in the world but buying presents isn't the best time. I like seeing people happy when i get them exactly what they want... but i hate when you spend a lot of money and you give your present to the person and that give you that lame half smile and the "oh thank you i love it".....  Read More »

Tagged:

How many people wanted to buy a PS3? well i know there was a lot of people who fell in line just to get it and I was one of them. When the PS3 came out i think that it was a total crap that they only had 12-30 systems per store. Speacially the Target in COLMA because they were totaly unprepared for the release of the system. The store did not prepare by not having lines at all, they just let people stand in a big croud at 9 pm.  Read More »

Growing Up in a Hurry

Tagged:

Growing up is a part of a kid's natural journey toward independence. But child development experts say that physical and behavioral changes that would have been typical of teenagers decades ago are now common among "tweens",kids ages 8 to 12.The shift that's turning tweens into the new teens makes parents worry. They wonder whether kids are ready to handle the issues that come with being a teen. I definitely feel like these kids are growing up faster and I'm not sure it's always a good thing. It seems that they have skipped generations. I think that the world is taking them along its rapid wide span of technology. It seems like now a days everything is fast paced and rapid growing, everything is made to be easy and convinient to those who have less time in there hectic scheduled lives.I think this majorely influences the children around us, it is basically taking them along for the ride. I think the reasons it's happening are both physical and social. Some of them are going on "dates" and talking on their own cell phones. They listen to sexually charged pop music, play mature-rated video games and spend time gossiping on MySpace. And more girls are wearing makeup and clothing that are not their age appropriate. Along with that, even young children are having to deal with peer pressure and other social influences.Kids look and dress older. They struggle to process the images of sex, violence and adult humor, even when their parents try to shield them. And sometimes, parents end up encouraging the behavior by failing to set limits, handing over power to their kids.

It's an old issue. Kids want to fit in and younger kids want to be like older kids.
But as the limits have been pushed, experts say the stakes also have gotten higher with parents and tweens having to deal with very grown-up issues such as pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases. Earlier this year, that point was made when a vaccine for HPV was recommended, a common STD that can lead to cervical cancer for girls as young as age 9; thats astonishing. With grown-up influences coming from so many different angles, from peers to the Internet and TV, some parents say the trend is difficult to defeat. All we can hope for is that parents educate their children, and hopefully be open to answer any questions their child may have. It is best if the child asks a mature parent rather than their own peer who is also struggling to fit in. But that can only be possible if the child fels comfortable with the parent and develops that sort of relationship with them.  Read More »

Also Monta has developed into such a threat on the court this year, with his lightning fast ability to penetrate and knock down shots he has been a big reason to the recent success to the team.
