I don't understand what is our current president trying to do with our situation in Iraq. He started this war with the excuse that Iraq had the capability to make weapons of mass destruction. Also, he wanted to capture the terrorist that attacked our country. Currently, we have not found any weapons of mass destruction and no terrorists that attcaked us during 9-11. So, what shocks me the most is that this past wednesday, I was watching Countdown with Keith Olbermann at MSNBC, and the #1 story of the day was that President Bush gave up golf to show his solidarity with the US soldiers that are dying in the Iraq war. He gave up golf! Here is the quote by Politico.com:
"Mr. President," he was asked, "you haven't been golfing in recent years. Is that related to Iraq?"
"Yes, it really is. I don't want some mom whose son may have recently died to see the Commander in Chief playing golf. I feel I owe it to the families to be as — to be in solidarity as best as I can with them. And I think playing golf during a war just sends the wrong signal."
Think about this and tell me if we really need another Republican(John McCain) in the White House. John McCain currently is adopting all of George Bush's policies. He wants to continue Bush's policies. We are living some of the worst times in American History. Think about it. If we are suffering in the US, imagine all of the people in the world. If the US is suffering, the world is metaphorically dying.
