Its a way better option for kids, why would they even think of passing a law that you cant even homeschool your own kid because public schools are losing money. How pathetic. I was homeschooled when I lived in California and when I went down there to visit almost everyone that was homeschooled graduated early. Thats a plus too right? You dont have to be in school till your 18 if you finish everything you might even get into a PERFECT college because your grades were good. It wouldnt be in the news so much how 9 year olds went to school drunk because drinking would probably be the last thing on their mind. I really do hate some of the laws they pass. Everyone gets involved more in family if you are homeschooled too because your parents are teaching you. I just cant believe that you arent even allowed to teach your kid the basic priorities of life you have to have a stranger do it. If I had the chance to go back to homeschooling I would. My parents would make time for it to. Maybe I wouldnt be so exposed to half the junk I've been exposed to since I've been in public school. Although I like my school I just dont like the fact that they are taking another opportunity away from us. Just my opinion.
Homeschooling is a great option

I think homeschooling is an excellent thing. My little sister cannot deal with public school because has an anxiety disorder and this is a great thing for her.
I'm not absolutely certain what you are talking about. I am not aware of any legislation that is going through the California legislature that would take away a parent's right to homeschool their child.
But I did recently hear about a California judge who declared in a ruling that parents did not have the right to homeschool their children. Is that what you are talking about?
I think it is a ridiculous ruling. But fairly typical of California which is afterall the most progressive state. If you are not free to educate your own children what exactly is the meaning of freedom?
