Have you all ever thought about what actually goes on in the kitchen of a restaurant?
I have worked on about three different food settings. I have always found it interesting... I've seen co-workers drop food on the floor and pick it up and still serve it. I have seen food prepared by someone who hasn't washed their hands. I've seen food played with, like tossed like a football.
This was reported in a low-budget version of my school newspaper. In our cafeteria a student witnessed the cook lick their finger while fixing her food. Apparently the sauce from the food got on their hand, and when they thought the customer was not looking they licked their hand, and still persisted in fixing their food.
Sometimes I really wonder what are some of the things that have been done to my food behind closed doors. I know I have always heard don't make the fast food employee mad, or don't argue with the waiter... cause you might get Mexican in your Continental, as joked on this movie called "Waiting" (It's about the life of a waiter). In the movie this waiter got angry with a customer for yelling at them so they did everything possibly gross to their food. The waiter was about to blow snot on it, but was stopped, because that would have been putting Mexican on Continental. It's funny to see in a movie, but people do these things in reality, and it's disgusting.
To think the sandwich you had at your favorite restaurant today... what actually happened to the food while it was being prepped, or prepared? It can get quite sickening when you think about all the hands it goes through before it gets on your plate.

hahah. i'm a waitress. this all sounds too familiar.
I haven't seen the movie "Waiting," personally. I've heard lots about it.
Eww..I'll remember not to make anyone angry anytime soon
Well fortunetly for everyone that I work with at the restraunt I waitress at no one is like that because I would go crazy on anyone if I ever saw that done to someone's food. But I have seen Waiting and thought it was hilarious...lets just say I never complain about waiting too long in a line or just go to the buffet.
