Deconstruct.

Television takes all your creativity away.
all of it. every last bit.
you don't even have to be watching it.
mine is draining away just from hearing it.
catchy jingle. christmas carol. pop song.
annoying voice. laugh track. annoying voice. laugh track.
another voice. annoying voice. laugh track.

ALL within a minute.
you can't compete with something that moves that fast.
your brain just can't handle it.
you have to succumb to it, and you actually like it.
until you turn it off.
when your show ends.
or shows.
and you're free.
but you don't feel free. you want it again.

doesn't that sound like a drug?
doesn't that sound like addiction?

Most people, when asked this, just seem to ACCEPT it.
they don't even care.
a drug that builds an addiction, and is so powerful that you have absolutely no motivation to stop?

Of course, you can stop.
and eventually break the addiction.
and eventually recuperate.
and, eventually, your creativity is rebuilt.
but not as powerful as before.
it's damaged.

It's like a lot of you are hooked up to this insanity machine.
not just television.
and you just let it keep pumping.
and you live a life, dragging your machine around.
you're weighed down.
and all you have to do is turn it off.
unhook.
leave it in a dumpster and walk away.

Reconstruct.
Apparently, I'm under 200 words.
Apparently, it takes 200 words to hold any sort of meaning.
So I'll write some more.
It would be helpful if there was a word counter, so that I could know when my meaning is clear enough.
Now, THIS bothers me. Is it 200 words yet? Maybe points were deducted for my really short post.. Should I be counting my words? Okay, wait.
Oops, I lost track. But I know, as soon as I hit 200 words, this blog will be
