Laws Against Talking On Cellular Phones While Driving

I Do not know about anyone else, But as a driver I become slightly upset when i see a person talking on a cell phone while I am driving. Being New to driving, I easily notice when other people are making errors in their driving patterns. It has become more and more noticable to me that when a person is on a cellphone, however, they seem to be more of a risky driver, making small flaws.

In many states, There are laws being passes or pushed forward to ban youth from using Cellular phones while driving. However, Is this being disciminatory? If we all have equal rights in america, should age really matter as to cell phone usage while driving? In consideration, a 16 year old had to pass the driving test to get a license just like a 30 year old had to. So why would age matter as to things a young adult is allowed to do? What i'm trying to say is rather,a simple thing: If cell phone usage is to be banned while a driver is driving, should it account for ALL aged drivers, or just those under a certain age of 18/21?

Personally, I feel if it is to be banned, then it should be banned for all AGES. Howver, banning such a matter would be almost physically impossible with modern technology such as bluetooth devices for phones and other handsfree sets, which are preferred.

Because although a 16 year old and a 30 year old both have to pass the same test to start driving, countless studies and reviews of statistics have shown that teenagers have a much higher death rate than any other category in the car and the highest being in 16 year olds. Now before people run and cry foul, do realize that the majority of 30 year olds who are going to drive are already driving. You're not getting very many new 30 year old drivers. Contrast that with the 16 year olds, who are all new drivers. So that could be confounded with age in comparisons done.
