These are all in personal care products? Whew. That's a little intimidating.

As far as I know, pretty much everything these days seems to be causing cancer. Carcinogens, cancer causers, are in pretty much everything you eat. Especially preserved foods.

You will get cancer if you go to school. Careful folks, maybe your old administration didn't check carefully enough for asbestos and radon.

You will get cancer if you shower. Careful kids, who knows what those companies are putting in your lotion.

You will get cancer if you eat. Don't look now people, that pickle you're munching on might decide to help you die.

You will get cancer if you go outside. Pack on that sunscreen (except that might kill you too) or else the sun might eat you. Also, don't forget that second hand smoke. That'll probably kill you too.

Cancer anymore, seems to be caused by everything.

Funny, I work with a good number of those every week in lab. I'm still in perfect health...

Lidocaine is used as an anesthetic. If it was extremely cancer causing, they'd find something else to use. Progesterone is present in every single female's body. It's one of the hormones that helps regulate our menstrual cycles. Iodine is kinda necessary to function, which is why we have iodized salt. It's used by the thyroid gland to produce a couple of hormones that we kinda need. Without iodine, we'd all have enlarged thyroid glands, which aren't all that pretty.

Yep, cancer's everywhere.

When used in a controlled setting, such as a lab, these chemicals are probably safer. What I'm saying is that these are in products you put into and onto your body.

Oh, sweet science.

You probably did not read the part about "some cases were found at levels that are more than twice the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s maximum"

Yeah, forgot that tidbit by the end of that list. I kinda wonder what the FDA regulation on progesterone is, though.

P.S. Just as a few helpful pieces of advice for you. There's a reply button at the end of every post... it's a lot more convenient than replying at the end. Also, you have the ability to edit your comments. Good luck blogging :-)

If you want an example of progesterone regulations, read about birth control. There are pills with higher and lower concentrations of the hormone. You can probably find the brand with the highest and research further from there.

P.S. I don't believe there's a point to editing comments. I don't see why I should be decieving people, but glad you said something about it.

Oh, I know there are. But I wonder if they say 'you can only have .00000001 micrograms in any given product, since progesterone is a steroid hormone and can thus work in extremely low quantities. I'm a science geek... don't mind me.
