Lately you turn on the news station and what do you hear about?? The presidental election. It's that time again and until November (we are lucky if it ends there) we will continue to. For a short time, at least to myself it has seemed, that McCain has fell into the shadows, guarenteed as the nominee. Hillary and Barak battle it out to the end.
The thing that sickens me is to see the energy and plain time that each candidate wastes on playing the blame game, or just convincing us that the other candidate has done something worse then he/she. Before it was bickering back and forth with the Democrats, as the fight to the convention neared closer, each taken every attempt to shoot the other down. Now, as Barak begins to see his nomination in store, he and McCain have gone at it, each having personal issues with statements and views by pastors endorsing their campaigns.
While I am only a teenager and this has been the first campaign which I have truly been able to watch, give attention to, and fully comprehend and understand the proceedings and such, I do get fed up with the bickering back and forth. I realize this more than likely happens throughout all both presidental, but really any election of power status.
I would rather here 5 minutes of a candidate telling me positive points about themself than 20 minutes of what is wrong with someone else. And also, I wish that someone running would be the bigger person and be able to make a speech without having to slip in a persona attack or snub remark about another candidate. I personally would like someone as president to be the bigger person and allow a petty issue to die down, and to focus on true substantial problems.

I would as well. I really don't care about whose pastor said what, Im worried about which candidate said what. Unfortunately, none of them have said anything worth considering yet. They all lost my respect when they started bashing each other.

I completely agree. Its hard to figure out what the candidates are arguing for because all they do is bicker. It doesnt matter if you think the other persons health care plan is bad. All that needs to be said is why its so bad, and then say your side. Its like we're back in 5th grade, but with big words.
