Are Black Friday sales (the sales that take place the day after Thanksgiving) really a good deal? There are tips you can use to get good deals during those sales.
Those tips are:
1) Compare deals with internet shopping robots, including a price checker on Consumer World (http://www.consumerworld.org), or others such as pricegrabber (www.pricegrabber.com), www.shopping.com, and shopzilla (www.shopzilla.com ).
2) Triple plays- Triple plays are also a great way to save. You buy an item at a good sale price, use a coupon, and then look for items that have cash-back rebates.
3)"The early bird gets the worm."- Some of the better priced "doorbuster" items sell really fast, so it is a good idea to get to the stores before they open.
4)Be a internet early bird- Visit retailers' websites in the very early morning hours of Black Friday to see if you can beat the crowd.
5) Keep your eyes open-Stores that offer price protection may refund you money if the seller or a competitor offers a lower price on the item you bought before Christmas.
6) Gift receipts equal easier returns- if you get a gift receipt, it makes it easier for the recipient of the gift to exchange or return it and:
7) Be informed of return policies- It is good to be informed of store's return policies, because they have gotten stricter in recent years.

Everyone thinks I'm crazy, but I'm not a huge fan of shopping unless I'm power shopping with thousands of other crazy people around me trying to find things that may or may not exist and paying the least amount of moolah as is humanly possible.
This last black Friday I got so many wonderful deals. Two techie tops, one sweater, one normally tres expensive white button up and matching expensive black pants, new sunglasses, black leather purse, and wonderfully stylish hat for under $150. I am a master!
Think about it...

I HATE Black Friday. I don't shop, I work. It's awful. Yes, you do save a lot of money - if you can find anything. Black Friday shoppers are the messiest ever - they just dig through the piles and throw things until they find what they want, and don't put anything back. Given, some probably are nice shoppers who refold, put things back, etc., but it's not enough to make a difference.
