The question here is just that- freedom for murderers to live or sentenced to death?
If someone were to ask me if I am for or against the death penalty, I would be undecided. On one hand, a murderer deserves death because of what they have done, but on the other hand, it seems wrong to kill to show that murdering is wrong. Murderers are of course, dangerous...but I can't help but think...sometimes people can change for the better.
I guess I'm stuck in the middle of the road on this, I'm not totally for capital punishment, and I'm not totally against it either...which could be a problem for when I start voting. I think this is an important issue that should be addressed. I want to see what other people have to say on this matter, so what do you think about it?, and why do you feel the way you do about this issue?, What are some of the pros and cons of capital punishment?
- I'm starting to dislike this 200 word minimum for blog posts...
only like twenty more words to go...
please just ignore this part of my blog, I would greatly appreciate it lol

I am for capital punishments. Yes, I think it is wrong to kill someone, even if they are a person who murders, but I would just think about all the people I would be saving from getting murdered. Do I have limitations to be for capital punishment? I would say yes. If a murder was only done in self defense than I would not reccommend capital punishment for everyone. The question I would ask is how do you define self defense?
-"The question I would ask is how do you define self defense?"
Well, that's a good question, there aren't really clear boundary lines as to what self-defense is, is there...
I guess it could be an attempt to save one's own life, but by taking someone else's ... I really don't know.

Until I met someone whose father murdered their mother when they were six. Their father abused them, their mother, and their sister, until finally one night he took a gun and shot her three times. He recently came up for parole, for the third time. The two previous times the children of the murderer had to stand in front of a parole board and relive the nightmares of their lives. The man's defense attorney argued that he had completed several rehabilitation courses and courses to help introduce him back in to the world. He has only served 13 years of a short 25 year sentence he received in a plea bargain. A man who murder his children's mother in front of them received only 25 years. What kind of justice is that? In a situation like that, I would settle for life in prison, but human nature drives me to want the death penalty.
"He has only served 13 years of a short 25 year sentence he received in a plea bargain."
Maybe the answer could be for the law to buckle down a bit, I think that years sentenced should NOT be something that can be negotiable. That man deserved a lot more than 25 years. Although I do feel that a murderer deserves to die, life in prison sounds a little better.

I'm sure the murderers thought their victims were deserving of death...
"Well, YOU don't have the right to kill someone because he hurt you or someone you love, but WE have the right to kill you for that."
Um, yeah. Wtf? It makes no sense.
Something else to consider is the conditions of prison. I know of a past teacher of mine who's brother-in-law went into prison very thin and came out extremley strong and well taken care of. And he hadnt changed and this scared her for the safety of her child. Which makes perfect sense. If the prisoners are allowed to workout multiple times a day and be fed 3 times a day and watch tv why is life in prison that bad? Wouldn't it seem better to have a person who has brutally killed a person to be killed also? Or would it be better to have that person live a life in a prison where they get to watch tv and workout all day? Its something to think about. And granted I havent studied the conditions of prisons this is just what I have heard from multiple people.
