Menu of Life
On the menu of life today is our usual deal
We hope you will enjoy this well tossed meal
For our appetizer we suggest the alarm clock pound
As you roll over in bed and don’t make a sound
Next we have our side of clothes piled in a mess
Yet there is nothing to wear, so you’ll still be in distress
Our entrees consist of running late
But each red light insists that you wait
It’s the Monday special, so the day drags by
As you look at the clock, and take a big sigh
When the day is done, the special desert is daily traffic fright
And no feeling is greater than your house finally being in sight
As you walk through the door
Throw your shoes in your closet galore
Sit back, relax, lay down and say amen
Just be sure to come back again!

Ha! i like this one, it's true!
Very nice poem. Its simple, but that's the best part of it. For my college essay, I wrote about waking up in the morning and going through the routine while pondering about things. Its similar to your poem. Very enjoyable.
