Here's a recent email I sent out to many of my closest friends. I thought I'd make my documentary film, Don't Look Back, Montana, available to anyone who wants to see it in the ProgressiveU community. My offer to send out a dvd to an interested party still stands. Please, tell me what you think of the 15 minute production and spread the word. This is a very important issue to me.

The senior project documentary film is complete. Don't Look Back, Montana began as an inkling in my brain in autumn last year as I was sitting in Taco Del Sol perusing the Independent's coal sequestration article. And now look at it. Even YouTube accepted the upload!
The film's prophets made editing a cinch, because many of their ideas were on beat with what I wanted to produce and they all formed an excellent collective narrative. Initially I had trouble cutting them down, that's how important every sentiment seemed to me. But in the end, the film reached 15 minutes and concluded with a Judy Collins' song, so I was satisfied with the process that resulted in the final message: Montana citizens have a vital role in dictating to our representatives through letters (and protests!) what is running through our electric outlets. I'm convinced that with the statements of Kyle Huth (quoted below), David Merrill, David Hamilton, James Roof, Peggy Miller, Ken Toole, Chris 'Gruver' Pohl, Steve Running and (a few of the statements by) Brian Schweitzer, we can move forward in this post-deregulation era in which climate change effects our ability to recreate.
"It's crazy when half of the leadership in Montana's legislature doesn't believe that Global Warming exists or that it's human caused. It's time to wake up. People have to start telling their leaders this is something we care about and this is a really big issue."
Montana is a battleground coal state while Global Warming and energy remain inextricable. We know this. But I'll know this project has been a success when I hear about and read many of your letters to the editors, and letters to our elected officials. It's time to ready the horses and participate!

I saw your lonely blog sitting here with no comments or ratings and i was wondering why. Although I only watched Part one that was great! This is my honest opinion. You express a very good arguement and this is a great documentry.
I wish I was a Movie producer because I would produce this in a second. The title is catchy, the people who spoke in the documentry added to the greatness of the documentry. I will watch more next time I get on youtube. This computer does not have the best sound quality. I enjoyed what I watched so far.

You really should try to get it published...I do not know what it is called with movies. Produced? Published? You know what I mean. I believe a lot of people would watch it and enjoy it.
Wow that only took you 6 months! I know that seems like a long time but it looks like you spent a year or so on it. It looks like a professional documentry, like the ones already displayed on Television.
I will finish watching it soon and get back to you. :)
