The world is changing everyday. Sometimes we notice the changes, but most of the time we don’t. We, as humans, have done a lot of things in the past that have changed the world into what we know it as now. Animals have been moved from their native country into new ones that we traveled to. Horses, for instance, came from Europe to the Americans. Then we started messing with the atmosphere. Now our ozone is deteriorating and causing more heat from the sun to be trapped in the atmosphere than is needed. This is making the ice caps melt and changing the climate around the world. Even though these changes may not affect us in this life time, it will affect those after us.
I glad that I watched a movie about a situation like this called Soylent Green. The world was over populated with people and nature was no more, except in movies. The main character sneaks into the place where the old people are sent to experience some kind of peace before they die. After the main character sees a piece of a video from the past, one that an elder chose, he realizes what the world was and how different it is. I would rather have generations after experience what we have than to just see pictures of it.
There have been improvements made to help slow down Global Warming. The new hybrid cars are the next step especially with the gas prices as they are. Right now, Hybrids are expensive, but in the long run they will be a great help. Solar powered panels for houses are another step in the right direction. The sun is a great source of power that we rarely use in everyday technology. Sun power is a reliable source of energy and can be reused. There are other inventions that are safe for the environment. Cities across America are taking the initiative to provide financial programs to help people who what to help the environment.
In years to come, natural reusable resources will be intertwined with our increasing technology to provide a better world.
