Is it just me?

I occasionally what the news in the morning before I go to school. The other day was one of these occasions, and as I was watching the news, I could not believe what they were reporting about 7:15 in the MORNING.
It was another one of these "oh wow! look at what Britney is doing now!" .

Honestly, who cares?

And if you are one of these people that do care, I'd like for you to tell me why, and I will accept reasons that sound decent to me. But honestly, why would you want to know about Britney's new "hair cut", or "metal stability", in 7 in the morning while you are eating breakfast, trying to start the day.
Maybe I just pick the wrong news channel all the time. But I could you not, there are MANY news stations that cannot help but to put pure junk on air, as their "NewsFlash!!" -"-
Am I the only one that feels this way about some news that is reported? Is it really necessary for them to put the "NewsFlash!!" at that time of the day? Couldn't they just report the weather, and real news, and then fill up the last 30 minutes with commercials (like they always do)?
If I am the only one that thinks this way, I will promise you that I will never watch the news again, and stop complaining. But if there is anyone out there that agrees with me, I will continue to complain, and I guess I might as well send the news station a complaint, and see what happens next.

I heard something about her on my local radio station, and I was appalled. I come from a small town, and for people to care so much about another's flaws irks me.

personally, i'd like to give the girl a high-five for being human and being famous for it. The media is making her ridiculously famous, and for what? She is no longer known for her music, but for her reputation, and that is a shame. Is there not more important issues than Brittney Spears life? Some would say not. Me? I'd rather read about things that are going to influence my life, or a significant number of people's lives.

Its the usual, sad truth about the media. It would seem that celebrity news is just as important as the war based on the amount of time spent reporting on each subject (though that may be a slight exaggeration).
