all we need is love.

our world exists because of love and dies without it. it is a slow death and we are watching it. there is just enough love to keep us afloat, but not for much longer. war, corruption, hatred, abuse, suffering, and cruelty occur when human beings don't see love, feel love or express love. all we need is love.

a child will get into trouble when this is true in their life. it's about attention. we all need it and when we don't receive healthy, positive attention, we will do anything to receive any kind of attention. the good grades, the goal in the soccer game and the beautiful artwork isn't enough. there are no warm words or praise for that, so what options are left? most children see one alternative and it is to misbehave. why is it that negativity is easier to hand out than positivity? should good behavior be expected to taught? when is a person old enough to realize that they may need to be satisfied with their own personal approval and adoration? is that even true or possible?

all they needed was love.

men fight because of this. love: when they don't see it and aren't feeling it and can't express it, how will their heart go on? how will they know how to love? feel compassion? empathy? how will they ever see themselves in the eyes of a dying man they just shot. the man is suffering, begging for his breath, uncontrollably gasping for air or maybe moaning like a dying animal, his hands like claws, latching onto the shirt of the man who just shot him...just to have human touch before his eyes close forever. did he know love? is that why he reached out to feel the man who killed him? was that his way of showing forgiveness?

all they needed was love.

men and women sleep together without love because they want to see it, feel it and express it. their eyes meet and they are attracted. maybe they are attracted because she reminds him of an old girlfriend and because he smells like a memory of hers from childhood? or maybe she wants to have control tonight and he wants to have an orgasm? the night goes on and they find themselves in bed together. they are not naked, just partially undressed. there is no more eye contact, just penetration; the fake feeling of intimacy. it satisfies them for the night, but by the next day they aren't interested in one another and will never speak again. instead of taking it slow, learning about the others soul, insides, passions and past before becoming one. the real oneness had yet to emerge. what once could have been has no chance.
