I went to a talk tonight on global warming. Hrrrr.. the only myth about global warming is that it is a myth. Scientists do not discredit it. It seems as though popular culture puts the word of doubt in. But since popular culture deems tabloids abundantly important, commonsense serves to discredit popular culture as any sort of intelligent source to listen to.
oh lord.
Note to self- watch dvd "Who Killed the Electric Car?". That's what popular culture is good for.
I open my window and spot a lone deer traversing down the steep and snow covered ledge. Alone.
Rare, for a deer. It's cold enough that the moisture of my breath on my scarf freezes into malleable solidity. It's negative something outside.
I hope the deer makes it okay. Its kind of rare for me to feel such empathy for something that's made to live a certain way. But I've slept outside before, and the sensation of violently shaking limbs when your just laying down trying to drift into peace or just exist is ...shaking (figuratively and literally) and somewhat desperate. It is creature made of muscles; how could it not be affected as such by the unrelenting weather.
I let it go..and turn my attention to the black skies. I'm confident I can do great good for at least the earth at large. Maybe not this lone deer that recedes from my view, picking its way slowly away from the florescent streetlight into the consuming dark.
I don't blame it.
P.s. the meek may inherit the earth, but I'll rock it right now.

Try to stick to ONE topic in your posts so they're not just one confusing ramble...?
And, do you have any sources to prove that global warming is a myth? Seriously, that would make me really happy, as it's something I worry about.
Don't trash my post, doll.
I'm writing for me. It was reflections on a night that happened to include my going to a slideshow about global warming. It was not an informative lecture just for you.
If global warming worries you, look it up.
Most likely I'll write about it again, as it comes to me. I'll be glad to share whatever information I come across.
It is a confusing ordeal because popular media has made it seem like it could be myth. If you research scientific data, it's pretty undeniable.
And don't hate on me because you didn't bother to look it up.
-Me.
Overreaction, much...?
If you're writing for you, why are you posting it on ProU? Go post on a site like livejournal.
Generally on ProU, if you make a claim (such as global warming is a myth), you're expecting to, er, back it up with sources.
still hating, much...?
If you didn't understand the philosophic nature of the content, or the meandering storyteller style, or the push to look it up on your own, that is not my fault in the least.
I'm going to ask you to stop posting comments. thanks.
Again, you're overreacting. You could simply disagree with my suggestions instead of accusing me of "hating" you for taking the time to suggest things to make your blogs better.
