When there is no new news the news stations just show fluff. Fake news stories that are actually not important. They fill their time slot with old footage and old “news.” It makes me sad because I can’t tell what days will have real news and what days are just fluff news. I also find it hard to believe that there is no news the world is so fast and with globalization we can easily communicate with other parts of the world to obtain news stories that aren’t in our back yard. When the 35W Bridge collapsed in Minnesota other countries heard about it fight away. I feel that the American news is just that. There is rarely anything about other countries. We don’t know what is going on in the world… and that is sad so when there is no news we should barrow news form other places. Actually we should get stories form around the world on a regular basis but I feel like that is asking too much….

Yes, I've noticed that the nightly "world" news only discusses international news if it has something to do with us, like the war in Iraq. The BBC is pretty good about covering global news, though.
