This video shows the Rev. Lennox Yearwood attacked and arrested while peacefully trying to enter the Patraeus hearing yesterday. Reportedly, his ankle was broken and he was charged with assaulting a police officer.  I can't believe this.  Everyday we should be taking steps forward and our government is persistant on taking away more freedoms.  He was singled out for no reason, aressted for no reason, beaten for no reason.  Other people were not even permitted to yell "Arrest Bush, Not Rev."  Not even freedom of speech is allowed.  We are going more downhill everyday.  More lies. More corruption. More government scandals.  We have no clue what goes on in the Government, and honestly I would probably be sick if I did.  I just can't believe how heartless everybody has become.  Where has guilt gone?

I amend my comment earlier (which is below after >>). Yearwood was probably going to start a riot, and the law states riots are illegal. So yes, I can see him getting arrested.

>>Since you don't like Bush, are you willing to have a 9/11 again? Secondly, guilt... are you pro life or choice?

Now, aside from that... you're right. Hearts are gone. And yes, it makes me sad too that we don't know whats going on in our own government. That's not how it should be. As for freedoms... I can't say much on that. They're being taken away for our safety, and yet we don't seem safer. But there are freedoms out there that don't make sense.

I see this a racist single out. The cops just didn't want a black guy in. And yet the cops were black. I haven't heard of this yet, but I am very interested in what happened and why.

You can't arrest him because he was "probably" going to start a riot though.. he has to actually start one.

I am pro choice. I may be very liberal on other things but not on this.

I don't believe that we are more safe. The more laws a government has the more corrupt it is. Why don't you think we feel safe.. everything is being taken away.

I was shocked to see that the cops were black, too. Unreal. People have lost a sense of themselves, what they've come through, all they've fought for... to have something like this happen.. I am speechless, actually.

or at least those cops didn't. now its just sad to see a man, no, a human be overrun by what 8 cops. dose it take that many now to stop an old man. the government has forgotten what it suppose to do and that is to protect the citizens that some how put them into office.

I know, it is so mixed up. We are supposed to be entitled to liberties, but only when it is suitable for the government. Doesn't sound like "democracy" to me.

That bush doesn't like black people, or the cops? The fucking cops were black. And they were arresting white people do.

The didn't want him in there because most likely he would have made a riot. They didn't arrest him because of that. They arrested him because he wouldn't listen and tried to get in anyway.

You have a president which loves to 'lame duck.' This administration has pardoned more staff members than any other administration. We're in a war due to multi-layered lying, and China is soon going to 'own' us with all the money that we continue to borrow from them on a daily basis.
Where does it end?

youd think that with the amount of people unhappy with the government that it would change, or that the people would change it. when i read this, something came to mind that we were discussiong in history class yesterday. i dont know whose idea it was, but social contract is an agreement between a government and the people and if the government doeswnt act in the direct interests of the people. the people can change, or create a new one. or at least get a president and other officials who are not lying politicians who only look out for themselves. i know this is practically impossible to find, but im just venting my frustration. lol
