As a devoted catholic myself i was given today the opportunity to have a saying on my opinion towards the highly controversial topic of abortion. In high school you meet all kinds of people, whether its their culture or religion, everyone has a different saying from the rest. My Physics class is composed of hispanic teens and my Indian born/Mexican/American raised teacher. She was giving her opinion and i highly opposed of it. My mind was set to abortion is bad, your killing a baby who had no wrong in anything and we were just being self-fish. Her saying was that we couldnt be the selfish ones, our religion consumed society, is based on being conservative and devoted people to religion, but in this case when your in the middle of deciding the future of your baby, you have to take into consiteration your babies health. What if your baby was sick, would you let it live for lets say those 2 years expected to live, let it suffer even more with surgery after surgery, or just put it to rest and stop its suffering. Everyone deserves to live but when the baby is sick and your not around, whos going to take care of it. About two years ago there was a highly named case about a woman who had been in coma for 20 years and barely woke up. She was mentaly disabled, and the man who had promised to be with her in the good and in the bad left her and remarried. If he is capable of doing such a thing imagine what other horrible actions can occur to them. Abortion is not a good a choice but when there is a hard time and you have to decide whether or not you want to have your baby, you can't be selfish and think about yourself, reputation, and religion, think about them and their future make the right choice.
Abortions Pro's and Con's

I used to completely think that all forms of abortion are wrong. However, as I became more informed and began to hold a better understanding of the reasons for abortion, I changed my views. I actually just wrote a post about the conditions in which abortions occur and whether or not that changes an individual's view on the idea of an abortion.
