How can people kill without simpathy?

The major news that is out right now is on the shooting at a college in illinois. A man aged around 29 or so, shot around twenty-two people in his college lecture hall for biology. There were about six people who died in this incident. He supposable shot at these people with a blank facial expression and he reloaded his gun! The shooting was said to take a couple minutes. This person was suppose to be on medications and he did not take his medicine that day; however it is unknown for how many days he was off his medicine. Not only that, this guy bought his fire arms legally from a store and I think that people should enforce stricter laws on buying fire arms especially for people who are on certain medications. My heart goes out to all the lives that were taken at the college and also for the lives that were impacted. The people who died have people greiving over them and they could be someones daughter, son, brother, sister, friend, uncle, aunt, cousin, or friend. The shooter had the nerve to kill individuals and shot himself afterwards. This shooter should have looked for help, the right kind of help like a counsolor or a hospital. His father had no idea about the ordeal that created his son to act in such a violent way. Reporters are always trying to interview him for comments on this major even in history. School shootings should end because I am tired of people having to lose love ones. I am tired of the bloodshed and having news be sad and heart breaking.

I completely agree with you. I haven't been able to stop thinking about this incident since I heard about it last night. It's so ridiculous that after Virginia Tech, a mentally ill person was again able to purchase weapons legally-- there are accounts that the person who committed the shooting had stopped taking his medicine.

And better yet, the company that sold guns to the Virginia Tech shooter, sold a couple weapons to this guy, too.

...the death penalty is for. And I'm glad that it is still active in California. For people like that. And I stand by what I say.

...that the suspect deserves the death penalty before the facts of the case have even been established, much less actually proved in a court of Law. Even if we accept what this poster says as true, it would appear (based on the bloggers account) that the suspect has a mental disorder that was serious enough to need medication, and which may have contributed to the incident. Your eagerness to pre-judge the situation as well as your apparent willingess to punish mentally ill people as if they were fully competent is the kind of pre-judgement that causes some of us to question your rationale for the use of the Death Penalty.
