In memory of...

This past year, one of my friends got into a horrible car accident and he died.  He was a Senior as well and he should be here living it up like he would, but he's not.  The death of this friend effected everybody; his family, friends, and even people who didnt know him.  Nobody thought that this would happen to him.

Having a death of a friend can be very traumattic.  I was not one of his absolute best friends but we were friends and I never would have thought that his death would have hit me so hard as the way it did. Its still hard to realize that he is gone. Sometimes, looking around at school, it seems like I see his face every now and then but then I have to come back to reality and say no. He's gone to a better place now.  This effected everyone so very much. No body understood why he left so suddenly and so early. He had a whole future ahead of him.    The viewing for him was so sad.  It was open casket and it was so traumatizing, definatley for me.  He did not look a thing like him.  I was so upset. He would not have wanted to be caked up with so much make up, and everybody knew so.

Now, we all just have to stay strong, and pray for him to watch over us. He is still here with us in some way.

In Loving Memory of Travis V. Brooks.

I'm sorry about your friend... it's horrible when someone so young dies, especially if it's unexpected. You're doing a good thing just by remembering him and commemorating him, though. I think it shows what a good friend you were and are that you can continue thinking about him and remembering him a year after his death.
