VIOLATION of the constitution: the charges brought against the Neumanns. BULL! In fact, props to the authorities who brought the charges against them. With the charges in their daughter's death, the religious freedom debate is bound to heat up. These parents followed their reigious beliefs and treated their daughter's diabetes with prayer instead of medical treatment, It's about time our country made a statement about its reign over religion. No more phony excuses; it sure is about time to make people on up to the truth. No matter what the Neumanns "misconceptions" were, the fact is that their daughter died as a result. There can be no justification for their actions, or lack there of. It would be no different than justifying a religious extremist who strapped a bomb to his or her chest and blew up a supermarket. We all need to be a little more like the authorities who made these charges and bring back an objective look to our lives without being bullied by "political correctness". Without actions such as these we're going to end up living in a country where anything goes as long as someone believes in it. Or worse, we might end up in a religously run society, great fun, look at the Holy Roman Empire. The founding fathers clearly understood this and made it clear there should be separation of church and state, so how about we uphold their ideals, on which this great country was founded.
