Love

I never thought I'd fall in love. 

Most little girls grow up thinking about Prince Charming and the perfect Princess wedding.

That was not me.

Then my freshman year of high school I met someone.

I wanted him to be my Prince Charming.

To put it simply. He wasn't.

I was his rebound. I was the girl he dated to make his ex jelous.

Then a few weeks after I broke up with him I took a risk and asked someone out.

He was a sweet guy in one of my classes.

I say it was fate that we met. (I never signed up for the class)

He was a Senior, and I never thought he would say yes.

He said yes.

At the end of my Freshman year he left for the army.

We stayed together to try long distance.

Then a year after he left for basic he was deploying to Iraq.

Still we stayed together.

Its been a year since he left to Iraq.

Still we stay together.

I love him.

I can say that honestly knowing the meaning of love.

Through all the tests and trials of life LOVE has kept us going.

Love is the ultimate four letter word

Most people are so afraid of love.

I used to be one of those people.

Now I know what love is

and I will never be the same.
