"I believe in the sun even when it is not shining, I believe in love even when I cannot feel it, and I believe in God even when He is silent." -Holocaust victim.
Amazing to think that one could still think God was real after such a horrible thing as the Holocaust. To have all one's rights, possessions, liberties, freedoms, confidence, strength, sanity snatched up and to watch their relatives' lives being hijacked. But neither the less, even when the victim could not see the sun due to the lack of windows, could not sleep due to the infestation of rats and lice, even when everything and everyone around these victims told them that they were worthless and lower then scum on the earth, even though it seemed like God was not listening and had turned his back on his children, many Jews still clinged to their faith.
What I truly think this even in history shows us is that God does allow mankind to make our own decisions and we are not like "puppets" as many people think--puppets that have no choice, no voice, no free will or control. God allowed this to happen to the Jews, yes. Hitler and the Nazis made their own decisions in life, which were among what we would consider the most evil. The Jews found the Holocaust actually a catalyst for their faith. Due to the lack of morals, ethics, and law of the Nazis, Jews saw that their was that much more of a need for them. And internally there was a much more need for God and his word because without these such things--humanity would not exist today or atleast as they thought.
1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness
for his name's sake.
4 Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death, [a]
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6 Surely goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD
forever.
Pslam 23:1-6

"many Jews still clinged to their faith in Jesus."
Um... Jews don't believe in Jesus. They may accept that he existed, but they don't he's the messiah, or the son of god, or anything. That's the difference between Jews and Christians.

God exists
God is one and unique
God is incorporeal
God is eternal
Prayer is to be directed to God alone and to no other
The words of the prophets are true
Moses' prophecies are true, and Moses was the greatest of the prophets
The Written Torah (first 5 books of the Bible) and Oral Torah (teachings now contained in the Talmud and other writings) were given to Moses
There will be no other Torah
God knows the thoughts and deeds of men
God will reward the good and punish the wicked
The Messiah will come
The dead will be resurrected
that's what jews belive in...
Considering Jsaj is a Jew by culture, I'd say he knows a little more about what Jews believe than you, as a Catholic, do. Just saying.
