Russia has just finished making the worlds most powerful bomb. It is not nuclear (though just as powerful), and can be air delivered. And this one doesn't hurt the environment.
It sucks living in constant fear, I know that defending our own countries is necessary, but the idea that technology is getting more and more destructive is so unsettling. Remeber when we fought hand to hand or on horses with guns and swords (well not in our lifetimes, but back in history)? The good old days. Now we have to worry about terrorist attacks, nuclear (and nonnuclear) bombs, and the like.
What do you all think? Should we be worried? I know I am...

I am not sure if we should be worried, it is when they start acting like crazies that worries me. So far I have seen no action of agression only precaution. But who knows what is being over looked with the administration we have now and the elections coming soon.

This may sound like a stupid answer, but where is worrying about it going to get any of us. Are we going to stop a huge, powerful nation like Russia from bombing us. Are we going to make them destroy it? There really isn't anything that we personally can do, and since we are not even Russian, that lessens our chances even further. So no, I am not going to waste my time in fear, because if it happens, then that really sucks, but hopefully it will be painless. Plus the Bible says explicitly not to worry, so that needs to be enough for me.
I wish I had that attitude. I am a worrier by natrure. And at the moment I don't really trust our government to keep us informed/protected.

Yes, being scared isn't going to help anything, but it's obviously alarming. I agree that making weapons more and more destructive is not good. Just because we have the technology, I don't understand why we have to use it.
Since we (humans) are going to use technology regardless I am not sure we humans are being wise to use it in a destructive evil manner as bombing people...but evil breeds evil and around we go to pprotect then to dominate and over again.
